Early in his career, Luis Oscar Souffront was elected secretary of the Board of Directors of a national bank and bank holding company. At the time of such election, the Board of Directors had received the lowest possible rating by the Office of the Comptroller of Currency and by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve. Within two years, the highest possible rating was granted by such banking regulatory authorities.
